Alcohol class part 3

Final card today from my alcohol ink class. This card was a happy accident as I didn’t like the image once I had stamped it so I wiped it off and noticed it’s left a resist image of the stamp.

This card uses the 9 square leaf stamp from Woodware. The background has been created using Yupo paper and alcohol inks in Terracotta, Ginger and Lettuce.

I dropped some of each of the alcohol ink onto the Yupo and then added some blending solution . You can leave it to try as it is or blend more using some felt . It drys very quickly and I then stamped in Archival Ink Coffee Bean.

Then I took some kitchen paper and wiped the ink off to reveal the pattern. Simply matted into some brown cardstock and a sentiment from John Lockwood Everyday Sentiment stamp set and die cut it with one of his tag dies.

Back tomorrow with one of Kerrys recent Christmas cards from her club

Alcohol Ink class part 1

My class last week used alcohol inks, it was lovely to go back to a product I have not used in years. There are some new colours coming out soon. The card I am posting today uses the inks the original way on glossy card and adding dots of glue to a felt pad on a rectangular Ranger blending tool. I used Pink Sherbet and Wild Plum along with some of the Silver Mixitive and a little Blending Solution. Unfortunately, it doesn’t show well in photo, but it makes a lovely marbled effect.

I cut out the coloured piece of glossy card using one of the new Creative Expressions Sue Wilson release called Sophia. The flowers are from John Next Door as is the sentiment.

Back tomorrow with another Alcohol ink card this time using vellum

Have a great Sunday

Jeanines Art die

Back again with another new range of dies from Jeanines Art. These are very detailed dies and come with an additional die to make a mat to fit in the small area that’s blank. I used the Butterflies and Flowers frame and I used some of the lovely decoupage papers from the same company  to make the Butterfly element. This decoupage is easy as its already cut, you just have to carefully take each layer out and add some foam pads to raise each layer. You get three different designs on each sheet for £1.00.

Below are more designs and there are different designs in the dies as well. Very quick to make when you need a card in a hurry.

The sentiment stamp and the die its on are also new. Recently released by John Lockwood from his John Next Door range they are called Everyday Sentiments and I used the coordinating Mini Tags die set . Perfect for all occasions, great value and stamp and die cut beautifully.

There is also a Anniversary set including numbers and the Anniversaries like Silver, Pearl etc and a Relations set .

Back tomorrow with a card using some Sue Wilson dies .

John Next Door

The card today is from Kerry’s class this week using stamps by John Lockwood.

The stamp set used is Autumn Flowers and inking and blending has been done with Distress Inks.

Back tomorrow with Kerry’s second card.
