Autumnal birthday

I had a break from Christmas cards in class last week and we made some seasonal birthday cards.

Today’s card uses a new stamp from Woodware Bold Blooms Julia. To me it look like a Chrysanthemum and I used Distress Oxides in Spiced Marigold and Candid Apple in the centre. The green ink is Peeled Paint and the border stamps are from Phil Martin Inspirational Borders stamp set.  The sentiment comes with the flower set and was inked with Distress Oxide Walnut Stain .

We used the Crafts Too Press to Impress tool to stamp the images.

Back tomorrow with a card suitable for a mans birthdays.

Quick and easy cards part 2

As promised, here is another card I made for last weeks class.

This stamp set is from Woodware and is called Sketchy Baubles. The sentiment comes with it. I am loving using Distress Oxides at the moment and I decide to use them to colour in the baubles. I stamped the whole bauble and sentiment in one go using the Press to Impress tool. I used watercolour card and Black pigment ink. I heat embossed with clear embossing powder from Wow. I then took some Cracked Pistachio and Worn Lipstick Oxides, pressed a little onto my mat and pick up some ink with my water brush. I coloured in the baubles and then blended some Broken China around the edges using the applicator and foam pads. Simply matted onto some Black card and I finished off with some Creative Expressions Cosmic Shimmer glitter glue Sparkle Star in the dots.
