Love is in the air

This week I held a class making cards with a “Love” theme. Suitable for engagements, weddings and anniversaries.

Today’s card is a Woodware stamp that has been coloured with Graphmaster Aquarelle Pens. These are different from the ones that are currently POTM, they are water colour pens not alcohol. I stamped on watercolour card and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used a fine tipped waterbrush to colour in by scribbling the pen on an acrylic block and picking up with the water brush. Finished off with a sentiment along the bottom.

Woodware Just to say stamp set

Back tomorrow with some more samples. Looks like it’s going to be a lovely weekend, hope you great one.

Elephant Love

Another card today from Jane. This time using the Elephant stamp from her new release. She has used the decadent dots embossing folder in background. The image has been stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. White Colour Cloud has been used to colour in the Elephants. The border has been done freehand with a gel pen. Love the look of white on Kraft colour cardstock.

Our delivery of the new colour Distress Oxides has arrived in store. We also have some of Janes new stamp release still in stock with more coming by end of the week.

Back tomorrow with another of Janes cards.

Hi there , hope you are having a fab Sunday. Thank you to everyone who came along to watch Jane Gill yesterday . There were some fabulous demos and she had some great hints and tips to share. I will be sharing her cards over the next week or so.

There are two sets of dies used, one the background and then the Aliens set which has lots of fab dies to make up some wonderful images. As it’s for class and I am limited on time I just did two. The words come with it and there is also Your A Star. I created the background using Wow Sparkles glitter and some double sided adhesive.

There’s no time like Panda time!!

Last week I did a class making cards for children. I haven’t done one like that for years and I had a great time making them, perhaps it’s because I’m a nanny now or just a big kid at heart lol.

Today’s card uses the Panda stamp from Woodware. It’s a long thin stamp and it features several Pandas in a line in different positions. I wanted to break the line up and show it doesn’t have to be used like it’s shown.

I took the single Panda, stamped with Versafine ink on watercolour card and cut it out. I then stamped the pair of Pandas , cut them out and around their bodies so I ended up with 2 separate Pandas. These were then attached to my precut mat of watercolour card with foam pads leaving a gap in between and I attached the single Panda in the middle with foam pads again so it looks like they are peeking out behind. I then used the new Graphmaster Aqua pens to watercolour a background and a little grey on the Pandas themselves. I think it’s suitable for girls or boys and I finished with some paper from. Hi, no card today just a reminder that Jane Gill is coming to the shop this Saturday for a demo day.

Jane is a designer for Woodware stamps and is also now demonstrating on Hochanda so you may recognise her from there. She has been in the industry for as long as I have been crafting ( that’s a long time !! ) She loves colouring and creating backgrounds and will be demoing with lots of different mediums like cloud inks, distress Oxides, Sakura Pens, shimmer shakers. She has a wealth of knowledge and will be sharing all her hints and tips. She also has a brand new stamp release only just released this weekend so you will be one of the first to see them. Jane will be with us from 10.00 am until 4.00pm, this event is free and no need to book.

The team at Crafts Plus look forward to seeing you all this Saturday
